About ReMade in Hope

ReMade in Hope is art in a public space enabling reflection and contemplation on spiritual theme of transformation from death into life, struggle into victory, loss into love, and despair into hope.

Artists from age five to octogenarian, from professional to 'not sure I can call myself an artist' experience levels have participated in this project.  Some are members and friends of South Congregational Church, others are members of the Kennebunks community, and two are from Canada.

More information on each artist on the drop down menus.

A discussion guide also available on the drop down menu.

See below for photos of the assembly of the structure and the hanging of the art.

The exhibit will be on view from March 1 to April 30 at 2 North Street in Kennebunkport Maine, and may be viewed during daylight hours.

QR codes at the site provide access to the interpretive materials and artist statements on this website.

The project is an expression of the mission of South Congregational Church, a community of Joy and Wonder, to be a spiritual resource and trusted partner in service to the Kennebunks.

This program is made possible through a Vital Worship Grant from the Calvin Institute of Christian Worship, Grand Rapids, Michigan, with funds provided by Lilly Endowment Inc.
